Theoretical materials cover mentor coaching competencies, session assessment guidelines for all three levels (ACC, PCC, MCC), working with biases, and feedback recommendations are aligned with the ICF core competencies and ICF mentor coaching competencies


The practical part of the course includes observed sessions, mentoring during mentor coaching sessions, as well as mentoring coaching practice. All practical webinars are conducted by an MCC level coach / MCS mentor (ACC/PCC/MCC) who has experience in conducting individual and group mentor coaching sessions

The program is built on practical webinars and corresponds to the six ICF competencies in mentoring coaching, the ICF core coaching competencies, the ICF Code of Ethics, as well as the ACC, PCC and MCC certification level assessment guidelines

THE COURSE WILL BE USEFUL:

Practicing coaches who want to expand their capabilities in mentor coaching and novice mentors who want to develop in the profession

Experienced coaches pursuing the MCS specialization through the Credit for Prior Learning Pathway or renewing their MCS & ACC/PCC/MCC certifications *part of the program

ACC (second cycle)/PCC/MCC level coaches preparing for the Mentor Coach Specialization (MCS)

Upon the completion of the course, participants will be able to:

Model and promote ethical practices in the mentor coach role, including role differentiation, data security and referral exercise when necessary
Establish and maintain agreements with the MC client, including logistics, certification level expectations and co-creation of a development
plan
Manage the MC process, creating an inclusive environment, tailoring the plan to the client's learning needs and style, providing time for practice
Conduct formative assessments of coaching skills using critical listening, evidence-based competency identification, and trend
tracking
Promote client skill development by uncovering their unique style, modeling ICF competencies, and providing non-judgmental feedback
Manage group mentoring coaching, creating an inclusive environment and encouraging the participation of all group members
Understand and apply the rules and features for evaluating sessions for all three levels (ACC, PCC, MCC)


The training combines 60 synchronous hours and 30 asynchronous hours, and includes in-depth study of competencies, analysis of coaching session recordings, discussions with observation and calibration, individual and group practice, five observed mentoring sessions for each participant (with written feedback from the instructor), five mentoring sessions during mentor coaching sessions, as well as portfolio analysis - a curatorial selection of the student's work during the course.

Successful completion of the program demonstrates the participant's willingness to provide structured, ethical and competency-based mentoring coaching, as well as to continue to develop through reflective practice. The program requires proven completion of training according to the current standards of ACC BARS, PCC Markers and MCC BARS as part of an authorized training program.

TRAINING FORMAT AND BENEFITS OF THE PROGRAM:

  • Online: 60 synchronous hours, 24 meetings of 2.5 hours each in Zoom in the format of live communication with the trainer and group members+ 30 hours of independent practice***

  • Theory-practice ratio = 20:80%
  • Practical training in small groups of up to 10 people
  • 5 observed mentor coaching sessions with written feedback from the mentor coach
  • 5 group mentoring sessions with feedback from the mentor-trainer and the group
  • Personal support from the MCS ICF mentor coach trainer (ACC/PCC/MCC)
  • Training materials, presentations and recordings of meetings indefinitely
  • Private chat of mentor coaches after the course

  • Upon completion, completion of all course assignments and portfolio defense: BIS Certificate and 90 hours of CEE ICF (60 synchronous + 30 asynchronous, 72 hours CC + 18 hours RD)**

**To apply for ICF certification, you must additionally self-study ICF courses through the training portal (ACC BARS / PCC Markers / MCC BARS, corresponding to the level you plan to apply for).

***It is possible to take the first 6 classes (synchronously or independently) to receive 10 hours of ICF Continuing Coach Education CEE, which is mandatory when applying for the Credit for Prior Learning pathway (experienced mentors) and when renewing your MCS mentor certification
